#PlayBySephoraUnboxing This month’s theme The Unbasic Basics where the products are the anything but ordinary building blocks of your beauty routine
The box includes:
This is one of the products that I was super excited to try. A $22 brow gel is not something that I’m willing to spend my money on but I’ve been dying to try it because of all the hype. That being said, I’m glad I got the oppurtunity to try it and I’m glad I never spent money on the full size because it’s a brow gel that works just as well as drugstore. Granted, I don’t have unrulely brows so maybe there’s something magical about this brow gel for those with brows with a mind of their own but for me, drugstore is fine.
***😡 It is really irritating that not only are the ingredients not listed on the packaging but the ingredients are even listed on Sephora’s website. That to me seems really shady.
Here is the ingredient list for those who are interested:
Water, Cyclomethicone, Glycerin, Arbutin, Sodium Chloride, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Hyaluronic Acid, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, DMDM Hydantoin, Fragrance
It’s even more irritating that on Sephora’s website, this is how they list the ingredients:
-Hyaluronic Acid: Moisturizes. Seriously! You can’t say the main ingredient is Hyaluronic acid when it’s the 7th ingredient! Okay, rant over but still…
I’m not a huge fan of this product. I have really fine curly hair and this just makes it go flat. It does make my hair really soft but ruins the little volume for your hair
Fragrance Pick: Tory Burch Jolie Fleur Verte – Notes – Lily of the Valley, Jasmine Absolute, Mandarin, Neroli Oil, Dewey Green Accord, Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Musk. Style – Easygoing. Tomboy.
I’m not sure what the hype is about this eyeliner. It’s not super black like everyone is saying. Maybe I got a dud but still…this doesn’t make me want to buy the full size. I do, however, love the brush tip. I forgot how much I enjoy eyeliners with this type of applicator and it’s making me want to go out and get either Jesse’s Girl Liquid eyeliner or Physician’s Formula Liquid eyeliner.
I’m not a huge fan of this lipstick. It’s to milky for my skin tone. I do like the formula and I’m going to try to play around with it and do some makeup cocktail mixing but I’m don’t dying to got and buy the full size.
Overall, I’m not super wowed by this box but that’s ok! The whole point of subscription boxes. I love trying makeup products but I don’t like spending money on stuff I don’t love.
